Celebrate the Best From the 2011-12 Theatre Season

Ticket includes admission to the party following the ceremony in the loge at the Aronoff Center with delicious bites, a cash bar, and even some live “Sherry-oke” Sing along fun with Sherry McCamley!

The LCT Awards are the only theater awards program in the U.S. that provides grants to theater education, theatre artists, and seasoned Actors Equity Association performers. Like Graeters, the Robling Bridge and Union Terminal, our awards are “One of a Kind.”

Acting Up Announces Auditions for SEUSSICAL

Acting Up, the young performer’s community theater based in Mason, OH, is holding open auditions for SEUSSICAL.

Who: any actors ages 6-18 years old

When: Wed. May 23 from 6:30-8:30; or Fri. May 25 from 6:00-9:00

Where: Mason Intermediate School 4/5 Cafeteria, 6703 Mason-Montgomery Rd, Mason OH 45040

How: Please prepare a monologue and song, together not more than 2 minutes in length. You can sing with a CD (with no lyrics) or acappella. We will not have an accompanist. Bring an audition form found on the website (www.ActingUp.com) and a recent photo. Dress comfortably and be prepared to dance.

What: Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mazie and a little boy with a big imagination–Jojo.

The show will be directed by Joey Schnell with musical direction by Amy Hall and Carrie Classen. Rehearsals will start late July and the show is scheduled for Oct. 5-7. For more details see www.ActingUp.com or call 513-494-6062.

Free Acting Workshops

The following Cincinnati 2012 SUMMER ATTAIN ACTING WORKSHOP SERIES was made available through an anonymous student donation. Each workshop will only accept eight participants. Workshops with four or less participants will be canceled one week prior to the event. Participants will be notified by email of any cancellation. All participants must register. To register, send your name, contact number and the date of the workshop you will be attending from the list below to ATTAINWorkshop@aol.com or call 513.254.3344.

The anonymous student donation covers travel cost only for the acting coach. Donations will be gratefully accepted but are not required. Location of all workshops will be at 800 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 on the third floor. This workshop is not intended for young children.

BPI Needs Men for ANNIE

Beechmont Players is still looking for men to assume several of the male roles in our summer production of ANNIE, to be produced August 2-11, 2012. This call includes roles of various sizes. ArtReach Seeks Actors for Touring Productions

ArtReach: A Division of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, needs a male and a female actor, 18-30 years old, for full-time employment in touring productions. Contract runs September 2012 through May 2013. Must sing.
