Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra Seeks String Players

Hello All,

The Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra is excepting new string players for our fall and winter season, featuring music from “Lion King,” “Lord of the Rings,” S”uperman,” “Beauty and the Beast” and many other great scores!! We are a full 60 piece pops orchestra with an 80 voice chorale in concert with some of the finest soloist in Cincinnati! If you are a great Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass player, we are looking for you!

Our orchestra does pay for your time & travel with pay raises expected in 2013! Come be part of the best Community Pops orchestra anywhere! We are excepting advanced high School students and students in book five or higher of Suzuki!

Rehearsals are in Mason and start on July 30th with concerts on Sept 20, 21, 22 also Dec 13, 14, 15

CTM Seeks Drama and Musical Theatre Instructors

Class instructors needed for fall season, Saturday mornings.

Also interested in finding educators to present 1-day (9:00-4:00) workshops (drama, music, theatre) throughout the school year on Saturdays when classes are not in session.

The mission of The Children’s Theatre of Mason, Inc. (CTM), a 501(c)3 organization, is to expose children to all aspects of theatrical production and help them develop an appreciation for the performing arts. CTM produces two large scale productions each season, most recently CATS and Disney’s Camp Rock.

Since its inception in 2003, CTM has sold over 34,000 tickets and included over 1,000 children in its family-friendly productions. CTM also offers an impressive variety of drama classes, workshops, and summer camps. By providing top quality Directors, Production Crew Members and Instructors, CTM is able to help children learn valuable skills, build their confidence, and take part in experiences that they will always treasure.

  • SAM – Phyllis’s handsome, but philandering husband.
  • HOWARD – Carol’s emasculated husband
  • JULIET – young 20-something female. Current target of Sam’s roving eye.

The Passing of Bill Winkler

Dear Friends,

I are very sad to report that Bill Winkler has passed away. Bill was a dedicated and hard working member of Footlighters who was always available for any job who needed a volunteer.

He was humble and loved fixing and building sets for all our productions. We will miss his kindness and generosity in helping in the upkeep of our Stained Glass Theatre.

We send our deepest condolences to the Winkler family.

Visitation services will be on Wednesday, June 20th from 5:00-7:00pm with a memorial service at 7:00pm at Dalbert, Woodruff, Isenogle Funeral Home: 2880 Boudinot Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Emergency Auditions for Female Role in THE LAST RACE

We will be holding a second round of emergency auditions for the role of Army Major Julie McKenna Tuesday, June 19th at 7pm. 4733 Devitt Drive, West Chester Ohio.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, a major role has become available for “The Last Race, a feature motion picture benefiting the American Cancer Society.

We are looking for an experienced female actor aged 25-35, athletic, well defined to portray an Army major assigned to a private aerospace company. Race unimportant. Role is physically challenging. Candidates should have excellent balance and coordination, good upper body strength, no fear of heights.

Military and/or MMA skills a plus.

The role would require several weekends of shooting over the next three months as well as two weeks in Hawaii in September. Some weekday evenings may also be needed.

As this project is for charity, there is no financial compensation, but travel and lodging to Hawaii will be covered.

We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible, as we had already begun filming before we lost a vital cast member.
