MCP Seeks Boys Ages 7-12 for THE MUSIC MAN

MCP_logoThe Mason Community Players are in need of boys for their summer musical, THE MUSIC MAN. If you know of any boys, ages 7-12, who would be interested, please ask them to contact me, Debbie Wesolowski, 478-3058, or by email, debtheater@gmail.com.

If they want minimal commitment, they could appear only in the final scene as a member of the boys’ band. If they wish, we would be happy to have them in the other town scenes throughout the play. The play runs July 18-21, and we are in rehearsal right now.

Thanks very much!

He is dedicated to the idea of perseverance and initiative while trying to help the spirit of others.
    • Army (Supporting role)………Staff Sgt. Thomas “Tommy” Powell 35-40
Thomas is a man that has lost his way spiritually…he was actively involved in battle and saw a lot of death, horror and injustice, he has become cynical about life and in particular Christianity and religion. He is a person that is struggling to find his way in life. That said; we get the feeling that Thomas still has a good heart, but is afraid to let go and establish lasting relationships with anyone, especially a re-establishment of his Christian beliefs. He is most definitely a tortured soul.

  • Voice of Captain (recorded)……………………Capt. Russell Mitchell (45-50)
A strong commanding voice worthy of a leader and a person determined to move up in rank. There is great authority in his voice.
