April 21-29

Directed by Charles Vaughan and Beth Smith

Cast: Elain Micheal as Letitia Blacklock, Monica Rudolph as Julia Simmons, Reva Schell as Dora Bunner (Bunny), Dan Nieman as Patrick Simmons, Sandy Schlueter as Mitzi, Betty Coulter as Mrs. Swettenham, Stephen Beck as Inspector Craddock, Fred Murrell as Sergean Mellors, Liv Milliron as Phillipa Haymes, Bonnie Froelich as Miss Marple & Tyrone Irving Burrow Jr as Edmond Swettenham

An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house’s several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.

TOMFOOLERY Runs Jan. 20-28

Jan. 20-28
Sharonville Cultural Arts Center

Directed by Judy Berrens
Music Direction by Dennis Betz

Cast: Neil Geoppinger, Paul Gerwe, Elizabeth Hickerson & Holly Saurebrunn

This is one wildly wicked musical revue of novelty songs (there are no sad ones in this bunch). Music, laughter, and no one spared—when you’re dealing with the humor of Tom Lehrer, nothing is sacred.

In concerts, television appearances and a series of now-classic recordings, the Harvard-educated math professor delighted millions of fans during the 1950’s and 60’s with his dry, cynical but good-humored attacks on the A-bomb, racism, pollution, pornography, the military, the boy scouts and, of course, mathematics. Nothing is sacred in this hysterical revue featuring such Lehrer favorites as “Poisoning Pigeons In The Park,” “When You Are Old And Grey,” “The Masochism Tango,” “The Old Dope Peddler,” “The Vatican Rag” and an unforgettable Gilbert and Sullivan-esque recitation of the table of elements, linked together with his own inimitable concert patter.
