AVENUE Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?), and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life!

Showbiz Players Moving to The Carnegie

AVENUE Q to open June 1st

Showbiz Players, Inc. is thrilled to announce that they are moving their productions to the Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Center in Covington, KY. Their first production will be the regional non-professional premiere of the Tony Award Triple Crown winner AVENUE Q, which won for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. Performances will take place June 1st – 10th, 2012. Tickets will go on sale January 1st.

Joshua Steele, Managing Director of Theater for the Carnegie said, “The Carnegie staff is thrilled to welcome a theatre organization as venerated and energized as Showbiz Players. We look forward to working with Bunny and Showbiz to realize their vision for AVENUE Q and hopefully on many other shows to come.”

AVENUE Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. AVENUE Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

Auditions for AVENUE Q will take place on Sunday, November 27th (3:00-5:00pm) and Monday, November 28th (7:30-9:30pm) at the Camp Washington Recreation Center, 1201 Stock Ave. Audition information is available at http://www.showbizplayers.com and by calling Bunny Arszman at 513.325.7842.
