Cast Announced for THE 39 STEPS at Oxford Area Community Theatre

OXACT_logoOxford Area Community Theatre is proud to announce the cast of our upcoming show, THE 39 STEPS.

The cast includes:

  • Richard Hannay – Vince Hobart Smith
  • Pamela – Hannah Zmuda
  • Clown #1 – Ben Mattox
  • Clown #2 – Virgil Seger
  • Clown #3 – Emily Gerberick Douglass
  • Clown #4 – Jeff Douglass

Director Mike McVey and this cast of talented players are already hard at work putting together this frenzied mixture of Alfred Hitchcock and Monty Python! This looks to be a great show!

Auditions Announced for THE 39 STEPS at Oxford Area Community Theatre

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theater! This comedy is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a cast of four), an onstage plane crash, missing fingers, handcuffs and some good old-fashioned romance. Winner of the Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2007.

Piece by piece, a mystery unfolds as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface.

Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Throw in the sassy maid Cassandra (who can predict the future), and a lovely aspiring actress named Nina, who somewhat worried Masha, and you end up with comedy unending.
