Auditions Announced for FAITH at the Irish American Theatre Company

iatc_irish-theatre-festival-logoThe Irish American Theatre Company is proud to announce auditions for their next performance: FAITH, by Paul Meade

When: Sept. 13 from 6-8pm and Sept. 14 from 6:30-8pm

Where: 3905 Eastern Ave Cincinnati, OH 45226

Who: 2m, 1f (18+), and stage manager

How: Cold readings from supplied scripts. Please wear comfortable clothing and any reading aids you may require.

Performance: January 19-21, March TBA, This play will be our entry into the Acting Irish International Theatre Festival. Original cast will be encouraged to travel to Calgary, Canada in May.

A new play from Irish playwright, Paul Meade. This riveting play explores themes with middle age, depression, and vulnerability.

From the author’s website: “Michael struggles with redundancy and his new role as a stay-at-home husband. He meets the charismatic Chris, who offers him hope along with a job as a security guard. But soon, this friendship leads to tensions on the home front and the disapproval of Michael’s wife, Maeve.” Directed by Michelle Crowley

22nd Annual ACTING IRISH INTERNATIONAL THEATER FESTIVAL Runs May 19-23

AIITF_logoThe Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati is hosting the 22nd annual Acting Irish International Theater Festival May 19th through the 24th. This unique festival features full-length plays written by Irish authors or set in Ireland. The plays are performed by select theater groups from the United States and Canada. All plays will be performed at the Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati at 3905 Eastern Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45226.

Seven different Irish plays presented by seven different Irish theater companies. Every night a show, plus two matinees. Opening of the festival and first show is on Tuesday the 19th of May at 7:30 PM.

The selection of the event is THE CAVALCADERS by Billy Roche performed by The Irish American Theater Company of Cincinnati!

  • May 23 AT 8PM MOMENT by Deirdre Kinahan (Milwaukee Irish Arts)

$22 for single show tickets, $20 each for two to three shows, and $17 each for four or more shows, or $110 for the complete series of 7 shows.

The Cavalcaders explores the lives and loves of a community of characters in small-town Wexford, Ireland. Set in an old fashioned cobbler’s shop, this is a story of a group of men who spend their days mending shoes and their nights as a barbershop quartet and singers of local legend.
