Actors Needed for HARVEY at Gaslight Theater Players

GLP_logoThe Gaslight Theater Players in Georgetown, Ohio are looking for two males actors for their next production, HARVEY.

Show dates are February 16 & 17, 23 & 24, 2018

The roles are:

  • Elwood P. Dowd – friendly, eccentric, charmer. Always pleasant when speaking to others, even to those who address him gruffly.
  • Dr. Lynman Sanderson – young doctor but qualified. Infatuated with Nurse Kelly but only reveals his concern indirectly.

  • Lady Grace Manley-Prowe – “The Grande Dame” — Katie Lovett
  • Colonel Gillweather – “The old army man” — Kelly Bohl
  • Miss Tweed – “The tweedy, elderly amateur detective” — Alexandra (Sassy) Waters
  • Geoffrey – “The juvenile; the uninvited guest” — Michael Waters

Directed by Jennifer Stewart, performances run Nov. 10-18. Gaslight Theater; 110 E. State Street; Georgetown, OH.

SOMETHING’S AFOOT is a murder mystery musical that spoofs detective stories, mainly the works of Agatha Christie, and especially her detective novel And Then There Were None (a.k.a. Ten Little Indians). The play involves a group of people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour. When the wealthy lord is found dead, it’s a race against the clock to find out whodunnit.

Auditions Announced for SOMETHING’S AFOOT at Gaslight Theater Players

MISC_Auditions2Gaslight Theater Players will be holding auditions for the musical SOMETHING’S AFOOT, book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos, and Robert Gerlach with additional music by Ed Linderman, on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, August 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 19th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM
  • Monday, August 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday, August 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Auditions will be held at the Gaslight Theater in Georgetown.

The women find strength and comfort in one another as they deal with life’s struggles, often through a fair amount of verbal ribbing.
