Internationally Acclaimed Soprano Lauren Jelencovich to Perform at the Fairfield Community Arts Center on Feb. 7

FAIRFIELD, OH – Internationally acclaimed soprano Lauren Jelencovich will bring her breathtaking talent to the Fairfield Community Arts Center (FCAC) on Friday, February 7, at 8 p.m. Best known as the featured vocalist on Yanni’s world tours, Lauren has dazzled audiences worldwide with her stunning voice and captivating performances in opera and musical theater.

A Wine, Women & Song performance, tickets are $40 for Café seating and $34 for Stadium seating. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres are included with each ticket. Café seating places guests at tables on stage with the performer for an intimate experience. Lauren Jelencovich has performed at sold-out venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and Royal Albert Hall. She has appeared in Yanni’s PBS specials, DVDs, and CDs and is featured on his album Inspirato, performing “Usignolo (Nightingale)” alongside Plácido Domingo and Renée Fleming. Lauren is also the Grand Prize winner of Ed McMahon’s Star Search and Andrea Bocelli’s World Scholarship.

With her sparkling soprano voice, Lauren shares her love and passion for a wide range of musical genres, thrilling audiences of all ages. Known for her effortless high notes, Lauren captivates listeners with her voice, authenticity, and humorous stories about her travels and life. Fairfield Native Brady Seals Performs at the FCAC April 27

FCAC_Brady SealsFAIRFIELD, OH – Fairfield native singer-songwriter Brady Seals has sold over 11 million albums, topped three genres simultaneously, and is excited for his homecoming performance at the Fairfield Community Arts Center (FCAC) on Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. During his six years as keyboardist and co-lead singer for the multi-platinum group Little Texas, they celebrated three consecutive number-one hits with What Might Have Been, God Blessed Texas, and My Love.

During his tenure in Little Texas, they were voted ACM’s Vocal Group of the Year and received two Grammy nominations. In 2002, Seals formed Hot Apple Pie (DreamWorks). Comprised of extraordinary musicians, the music industry dubbed the band “Music City’s Super Group.” Hot Apple Pie’s self-titled debut was released in 2005 featuring country music icon, Willie Nelson. The band quickly made history when they became the highest-selling debut country group in the Neilson SoundScan era. Their entry single, Hillbillies Love it in the Hay went Top 20. The video shot to #1 on VH-1 Country and was among CMT’s “Top 20 Sexiest Videos.”

One of America’s Most Beloved Pianists is Coming to the Fairfield Community Arts Center

FCAC_Robin SpielbergFAIRFIELD, OH – Robin Spielberg, one of America’s most popular contemporary female pianists/composers, performs at the Fairfield Community Arts Center (FCAC) Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. One of the most expressive pianists of our time, Spielberg has released 24 studio recordings, is in the top 1% of artists played on Pandora Radio with over 200 million streams on that platform, has 160,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and has sold over a million physical CDs of her piano-centric music.

Spielberg’s compositions are melodic soundtracks for her life journey, and her concerts have the distinction of intertwining humorous and poignant storytelling with her musical gifts at the piano. “Music smooths the rough edges of life,” says Robin Spielberg in a recent interview. “It speaks to us when words fail and expresses our deepest emotions.”

Spielberg discovered her passion for music as a youth and began formal piano lessons at the age of 7. By the time she turned 10, she had composed more than 50 original songs. Now in her fourth decade of creating music and touring, Spielberg has had a long and storied career as a pianist, composer, recording artist, entrepreneur, speaker, writer, music therapy advocate, and educator.

In one instant they are a mouse and then a full-size elephant, a camel, a car with headlights, a house and not just a house but a house with a window and people inside the window. You will never figure out how they do it and you won’t know what they will make next – you will be surprised again and again.

Audiences are delighted by the apparently effortless transformations and applaud over and over as more and more unbelievable images appear on the stage. Not only is the show packed with hundreds of shape transformations but it is full of humor, emotion, and engaging stories.

Magic Shadows is comprised of eight fully realized stories that are told using only music and shadows. There is no language barrier – adults and children from any place on earth will follow and love these stories. The show also includes one very special shadow dance using cutting edge technology to create Color Shadows! No other shadow company has this technology.

Auditions Announced for FROM LITTLE THINGS at Fairfield Community Arts Center

FCAC_exteriorFAIRFIELD, OH – (August 18, 2016)   Auditions are being held September 12 and 13, 6:30 p.m., at the Fairfield Community Arts Center for the original one-act play FROM LITTLE THINGS. No appointment is needed, no preparation is needed. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. Rehearsals will take place in the evenings. 

Parts: 

  • 1 man able to play age 70+
  • 3 men able to play teenagers (late teens)
  • 4 women able to play teenagers (late teens)

Production Dates: Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5 at the Fairfield Community Arts Center. 

Synopsis: An original, one-act, play about growing up and finding love in and around Fairfield in the mid-1950s. This heart-warming, slice-of-life play is based on the true story of Pete and Alberta Groh; how they met, what tore them apart, and the little things that brought them back together for a lifetime of happiness. Life-long residents of the area will enjoy the nostalgia of Saturday football games, Junior Tea Dances and LeSourdsville rides and games.
