Cast: Kirk Bass as Charles, Jennifer Sparks as Ruth, Sara Bortz as Elvira, Debra Zweber as Edith, Wayne Wolfe as Dr. Bradman, Dee Berdine as Mrs. Bradman & Edith Waugh as Madame Arcati

Novelist Charles Condomine, invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant, Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles’s marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost.

Much like the movie “Hidden Figures,” this play centers on actual women pioneers of astronomy, who made groundbreaking discoveries in the early 1900s that contribute to our understanding of space.

Mariemont Players Announce Auditions for GREASE

MPI_logoMariemont Players announce auditions for GREASE, the classic musical about teen life in the 1950’s. GREASE has all the memorable songs from the original play as well as the much-loved songs from the film version.

Audition Dates/Times:

  • 7 PM Monday, February 25th
  • 7 PM Wednesday, February 27th

Location: 4101 Walton Creek Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227

Performance Dates: July 12-28

Those wishing to audition are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song stylistically representable of the era of the show.  Everyone will be asked to do a cold reading from the script. There will also be a short dance audition. Please dress appropriately/bring dance or athletic shoes.

The production is being directed by Tom Peters, choreographed by Jackie Miesle, with vocal music direction by Zachery Riggins.

Auditions Announced for NEWSIES at La Comedia Dinner Theatre

LAC_logoLa Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Disney’s NEWSIES on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, Ohio.

SEEKING:
9:00 AM
Boys Ages 8-12.
Les: A pint-sized Newsie who is a charmer.
Role will be double cast.

10:00 AM
ADULTS:
Strong musical theatre performers for all principal and ensemble roles. Be prepared to dance if asked.

All adults and children should prepare 16 bars of music. Please provide a current headshot and resume.

Rehearsals begin April 1, 2019 in Springboro, OH.
Performances April 18 – June 9, 2019

You will then visit the Wild West town of Dodge City, New Mexico, with everyone’s favorite Granny. Granny will be accompanied by some familiar faces and will be introduced to a new set of scoundrels as she tries to “solve” her latest case. Join her for a rootin’ tootin’ Wild West good time!
