Auditions Announced for INDEPENDENCE at Loveland Stage Company

Loveland Stage Company is proud to announce auditions for our May production of INDEPENDENCE by Lee Blessing.

We are seeking four women (18+) to fill the lead roles in this powerful, character-driven drama.

AUDITIONS:

• Saturday, Feb 21: 2-5pm

• Sunday, Feb 22: 7-9pm

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and each block is expected to last approximately 45 minutes. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early, prior to your scheduled audition time.

Acting Up Ignites the Stage With “Smells Like School Spirit,” a High-Energy Musical Revue

Get ready to cheer, clap, and sing along—Acting Up is thrilled to present “Smells Like School Spirit,” a vibrant Broadway-style musical revue that brings the excitement, drama, and fun of school life straight to the stage. Packed with iconic songs from hit Broadway shows, this dynamic production features more than 30 of the Cincinnati area’s most talented teens in a celebration of music, dance, and unforgettable school-day camaraderie.

Performance Schedule

  • Thursday, February 5 at 7:00 PM
  • Friday, February 6 at 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, February 7 at 7:00 PM

All performances will take place at Lakeview United Church, 8639 Columbia Rd., Maineville 

Tickets are just $15 and are on sale at ActingUp.com. They may also be purchased at the door beginning one hour before each performance. Seating is limited—and these shows will fill fast—so early purchase is highly encouraged.

This high-energy revue showcases an exceptional ensemble of young performers from across the tri-state area.

Lauren Lucas, time traveler, views her attack, the trial, the aftermath, and her life-at-large simultaneously. She sees the woman she will become, the undamaged girl she once was; she learns how far into the future this event will consume her. And then she wakes up in the present, in high school, and she knows the struggles that lay waiting. The Artists’ Pick of the 2014 Cincinnati Fringe Festival, SLUT SHAMING is a Time-Travel Rape Adventure that explores how small-town communities aggravate teenage sexual assault.

“Eurydice” reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice not through Orpheus’s infamous pilgrimage to retrieve his bridge, but through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, plot twists, and a script written to be a playground for designers, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.”
