STOMP Runs Oct. 11-12

STOMP
Broadway in Cincinnati
Oct. 11-12
Aronoff Center Procter & Gamble Hall [Downtown]

STOMP is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, sexy, utterly unique and appeals to audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered an armful of awards and rave reviews, and has appeared on numerous national television shows.

The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.

MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON, APT. 2B Runs Oct. 9-20

MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON, APT. 2B
Human Race Theatre Company
Oct. 9-20
Loft Theatre [Dayton]

Directed by Heather Wilson-Bowlby

This fast-paced romp re-examines the world’s most famous detective story with a bold new feminist lens. In this highly theatrical escapade, oddball female roommates Sherlock (yes, it’s also a girl’s name—wait, is it a girl’s name? Is it even a name?) Holmes & Joan Watson join forces. They emerge from the pandemic fog as a deeply codependent, quasi-dysfunctional Odd Couple adventure duo—solving mysteries and kicking butts, until they come face-to-face with a villain who seems to have all of the answers.
