This Broadway adaptation of Ibsen’s timeless drama presents a sympathetic, yet striking and powerful Hedda in the classic tale of her struggle to find a means of escape from a loveless, ordinary existence. Returning from her honeymoon, Hedda finds herself already bored of her husband, and longing for the days when she was free to exercise her wild and independent whims. With the return of an old flame and a proposition from an amorous judge, she begins a dangerous game, amusing herself by manipulating and destroying everyone around her in an attempt to regain control of her life.

AUGUST WILSON’S RADIO GOLF follows a black man named Harmond Wilks on his quest to revive his childhood neighborhood and become the first black mayor of Pittsburgh. He finds himself on the verge of the business breakthrough of a lifetime, but the arrival of an unexpected visitor and surprising news leads Harmond to choose between his personal aspirations and his integrity. With humor and courage,ˇthis p lay challenges the steep price “progress” can exact upon the soul.

Cast Announced for CYRANO DE BURGER SHACK at Springboro Community Theatre

SCT_logoSpringboro Community Theatre is proud to announce the cast of “Cyrano de Burger Shack” running June 16th-18th and 23rd-25th!

Cyrano is king of the local BurgerShack, but he can’t seem to win the love of his best friend, Roxanne. When Roxanne confesses her crush on the new burger-flipper, Christian, Cyrano decides that playing Cupid is better than sitting out of the game. An updated, modern-day version of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, this rollicking musical features hit contemporary pop songs that will have audiences cheering.

Based on a classic novel by Jean Webster that inspired the 1955 movie, Daddy Long Legs is a stage musical featuring music and lyrics by Tony-nominated composer/lyricist Paul Gordon and Tony-winning librettist/director John Caird. Set in turn-of-the-century New England, the musical tells the story of orphan Jerusha Abbott and her mysterious benefactor who agrees to send her to college in exchange for a monthly letter. Through these correspondence to her benefactor that she dubs “Daddy Long Legs”, Jerusha provides insights into a budding relationship with Jervis Pendleton, an uncle of one of her roommates, who introduces her to a world of literature, travel, and adventure. Yet there is a startling fact that Jerusha has not uncovered, which will change her life forever.
