RED BIKE is a story of changing cities and the fears we face on the precipice of the big wide world.

Cast: Brendan Sheehan as Joe, Jackie Anderson as Maggie, Elisha Chamberlin as Steve, Mandy Shannon as Agnes, Melissa Ertsgaard as Felicity, Chuck Larkowski as Brian, Aaron Brewer as Mark, Megan Cooper as Beverly & Geoff Burkman as Interviewer

Joe, Brian, and Felicity come from different walks of life, different parts of the country, and are each dying of cancer. They are living their final days with friends and family in a hospice cottage on the grounds of a large California hospital. Joe’s wife is in denial, Felicity awaits a visit from her daughter, and Brian plays referee between his ex-wife and his male lover. Each day, the patients are observed and counseled by an invisible interviewer as they talk candidly about their emotional and physical struggles.

The Second City has been laughing at love and its various side effects for decades. The Second City – It’s Not You, It’s Me takes shots at heartbreak, missed connections and the mire of human relationships, as seen through the eyes of the next generation of comic writers and performers. Your friends, parents and blind date will all find something achingly familiar to laugh at.

ADVISORY: THE SECOND CITY — IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S ME is appropriate for adults and older teenage audiences. With a comedic style similar to Saturday Night Live, this show includes improvised content and will likely include adult language and mature themes associated with the hilariously painful side of dating and relationships.
