Auditions Announced for CHAPTER TWO at Covedale Center

Cincinnati Landmark Productions is holding auditions for Neil Simon’s CHAPTER TWO.

Sunday September 13 and Monday September 14, 2015 from 7-9:30pm at The Covedale Center For the Performing Arts located at 4990 Glenway Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

Auditionees should be prepared to read from the script. Please dress appropriately. MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition. A headshot/picture is appreciated but not required.

Please note: No more than two conflicts will be accepted during the rehearsal process for this production.

Characters include:

• GEORGE SCHNEIDER – recently widowed writer (early 40s)
• LEO SCHNEIDER – a press agent and George’s brother (early 40s)
• JENNIE MALONE – Soap opera actress, married to Leo (earlier 30s)
• FAYE MEDWICK – is Jennie’s best friend (mid 30s)

CHAPTER TWO January 21 – February 14, 2016

Recent widower, writer George Schneider, is encouraged by his younger brother Leo to start dating again. Which sends George into even more depression after a series of bad matches. Then Leo comes up with Jennie Malone and she’s a keeper. Still, it’s a bumpy trip on the road to Dreamland for these not-so-young lovers. George and Jennie stumble on, overcoming both their hesitation on the rebound and emotional neediness. In a hilarious, farcical subplot, Leo has a fling with Faye, Jennie’s neurotic married friend. “Lovely whimsical and touching and always funny…most of the time downright hilarious.” -New York Post
