Green Hills Theatre Collective was founded in 2013 by Kentucky transplants Laura Madden and Bradley Jennings Evans. After graduating in 2012 with their Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre from Northern Kentucky University, both Laura and Bradley moved to New York City to pursue their careers in theatre. After months of solo work, Madden and Evans teamed up to begin working on their inaugural production of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” by John Patrick Shanley. After a short-lived down period after the close of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea”, GHTC got involved with a close friend, and poet, Brandon DiSabatino while he began bringing pieces of scenes to them to look at. Right away, GHTC knew this piece was something fresh and raw that they wanted to dig further into. So after many months of workshopping, a staged read, and a few revisions to the script, GHTC began submitting the piece to Fringe Festivals throughout the United States. A pick for both Capitol Fringe in Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati Fringe, GHTC is more than thrilled to bring this piece “back home” and perform it as a part of one of the best Fringe Festivals in the U.S.

GHTC looks to challenge the pedestrian dead-end of young artists in the city by performing works that portray the unnattractive, everyday, messy relationships that bind us together. GHTC aims to allow artist’s to expand their knowledge and craft of theatre while building off of established and new works that challenge growth in all aspects of production. With a strong base in exploration and collaboration through the rehearsal process, GHTC strives to bring a strong and poignant product to their audiences.
