About Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller
From his longtime home in Omaha, Neb., Mannheim Steamroller creator Chip Davis makes innovative music inspired by the sounds of another age.  This former teacher and jingle writer founded the music industry’s largest independent recording label, American Gramaphone, in 1974 when industry executives said Davis’ innovative 18th century instrumental rock sound would never sell.  In addition to a Grammy Award, Davis is largely credited with establishing the New Age music category that revolutionized the making and marketing of holiday music.  His first Christmas album was released in 1984; the album’s success made Christmas records a “must do” for all music artists.  With more than 40 million total records sold including 28 million Christmas albums, Mannheim Steamroller founder Chip Davis is the #1-selling Christmas artist of all time.

Davis, one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the music industry, offers a rich array of lifestyle products on www.mannheimsteamroller.com including hot chocolate, food, apparel and novelty items.  His latest achievement is creating a cutting edge psychoacoustic technology that is being used in major medical institutions such as Mayo Clinic and is also being studied by NASA for potential use in space.

Actress Needed for IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? by GoodPeople Theatre Co.

Hello there!

My name is Mollie Jeanette Amburgey and I am the Artistic Director for MISC_Casting call

I was told by one of my cast members (Nathan Henegar, for any who may know him) to put an audition/job notice for the show I am bringing to Cincinnati this summer called IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?, which is a series of vignettes that my business partner Will Bonfiglio and I wrote together. This would be the city premiere for the show, since the world premiere takes place in St. Louis at the beginning of June.

GoodPeople Theatre Co. was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, and we do 100% original theatre work. If you would like more information about our company, please visit either our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/heygoodpeopletheatre) or you may visit our website at heygoodpeopletheatre.wordpress.com. Each has viable information about our company.

I was already in Cincinnati last weekend and have cast three roles, but I am looking for a last woman to complete the team. Rehearsals would begin June 15th, and performances would be July 9th, 10th, and 11th at Simple Space in Over-The-Rhine. If interested, please send headshot and resume to heygoodpeopletheatre@gmail.com. Questions are always appreciated!

Thank you very much for reading and I appreciate your time.

Cast Announced for THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD at Beechmont Players

BPI announces cast of THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD
Show runs Aug. 7-15, 2015

BPI_logoMay 19, 2015 – Beechmont Players, Inc. (BPI) is pleased to announce the cast of its summer family-friendly production, THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD:

  • Lusty/Silly Robin Hood – Boyang Zhang
  • Maid Marian – Shannon Raidy
  • King’s Deer/Archery Butt – Matt Thomas
  • Janice – Claudia Rose Wright
  • Lady Ellen/Lady Lucy – Caitlyn Maurmeier
  • Nancy, Maid Marian’s Lady-in-Waiting and Sister Stephanie – Gabby Arvizu
  • Billy, Maid Marian’s Lady-in-Waiting and Sister Elena – Amanda Prell
  • Danni, Maid Marian’s Lady-in-Waiting and Sister Agatha – Merrie Stewart
  • Will Scarlet/Willa Scarlet and Scarlet Will – Matt Santeler
  • Soldier to Sheriff of Nottingham – Michael Fruhwirth
  • Esmerelda of Locksley/Abbess – Cindy Rumke
  • Honest Dave the Tinker – Libby Jonas
  • Sheriff of Nottingham – KC Cartwright
  • Prince John – Dan Tudor
  • Guy of Gisborne – Sam Wright

BPI is in need of a number of actors, however, to fill out the cast:

  • Lovelorn Robin, 20s. He will also play a Tax Collector and a Townsman. When Maid Marian tells her version, the Robin in her story is loopy for her.
  • King Richard, 40s and a royal looking fellow. He is the judge of all of the trials.
  • Friar Tuck, 30s-40s-a bit portly would be good. He will also play an Evil Lord and a Peasant. A somewhat shady character.
  • Little John, 20s-30s. He also plays a peasant. A member of the Merry Men and good with a quarter staff.
  • Herald, no age requirement. He also plays a Clergyman and a Servant. He and Janice are the voices of the court.
  • William Church/Archer; Daniel Boyle/Archer; Nathaniel Piper/Alan A Dale. All are Merry Men.
  • Finn Lucky/Archer; Tobias/Archer. All are the Sheriff’s soldiers.
  • Much the Miller’s Son/Madge the Miller’s Daughter, no age requirement. A little drag going on here.
  • Edward of Locksley, 40s-50s. He is the father of all of the Robins. Also plays Lord Duncan and a Townsman.

Contact director Lynne Aronson at 513.624.8665 for further information or with any questions about these roles.

Back from the Crusades, King Richard sifts through conflicting stories to figure out what happened in his absence. Told from the testimony of Robin himself, Maid Marian and Prince John, this family-friendly comedy combines three different stories into one hilarious trial.

THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD runs Aug. 7-15, 2015, at the Anderson Center Theatre (7850 Five Mile Road). Tickets are $15 general admission and $13 students, seniors and active military and can be purchased at www.beechmontplayers.org, by calling 513-233-2468 or at the box office.
