You Make the Choice in Pones Inc.’s CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

YOU MAKE THE CHOICES IN PONES INC.’S INTERACTIVE DANCE NARRATIVE: CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

CFF_Choose Your Own AdventureCovington KY– Pones Inc.’s sixth Cincy Fringe Festival piece, CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE, is created in the style of the popular children’s book series. The audience will make the decisions that dictate the action of the story. They will be part of every movement, making decisions that drive the story, from minor things like what the cast wears, to huge plot points such as what door to enter or where to travel next. In typical Pones fashion, the division between audience and performer will be eliminated and viewers will truly step into the story as they become the authors of the performance.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE also features work from local collaborators including: music from local composers, choreography from Cincinnati dancers, stories from six local writers, costumes from El Malott, and a large story book set designed by Modern Makers. If that’s not enough to get all of Cincinnati buzzing, try enjoying the performance on more than one night, as the audience participation in each story-telling experience will make each performance one of a kind!

Where:
Cincy Fringe Headquarters: 1120 Jackson St., Cincinnati, OH 45202
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE venue: 1211 Jackson St.

CAA_Two Man Group“Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood:
Two Man Group”

CINCINNATI, OH – The Cincinnati engagement of the Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood: Two Man Group tour has been rescheduled for Fri, Nov. 15, 2013 at 8:00 PM at the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall (this event was originally scheduled for Sat. oct. 12, 2013). The change of date is due to the taping of all new episodes of Whose Line is it Anyway?, set to premiere this summer on the CW Network.

Current ticketholders will be sent new tickets with the rescheduled date and time. These tickets will be mailed on Oct. 21.

Ticketholders who are unable to attend the rescheduled performance may contact the Aronoff Center Ticket Office for refund information at acbox@cincinnatiarts.org or (513) 621-2787, Monday through Friday between 9:00am – 5:30pm.

Tickets are on sale now at www.CincinnatiArts.org, (513) 621-ARTS [2787], and the Aronoff Center Ticket Office. Ticket prices range from $35-$55 (subject to change).

Following the enormous success of ABC’s Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Colin and Brad, two stars of the Emmy®-nominated series, have teamed up to present an evening of extraordinary improvisational comedy. Using their quick wit, Mochrie and Sherwood take contributions from the audience to create hilarious and original scenes. Throughout the evening, the show becomes truly interactive as audience members are called to the stage to participate in the fun.

Due to the overwhelming response of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, both Mochrie and Sherwood can be seen performing over fifteen times a week on Comedy Central and ABC Family. Their new DVD, Two Man Group: Live and Dangerous Comedy, hit stores in March of 2011.

Colin Mochrie began his improv career when he was first introduced to Ryan Stiles by a friend and the two teamed up. Shortly after doing Expo ’86, Colin moved to Toronto. There, he auditioned for The Second City, a famous North American comedy theater, where Stiles was working at the time. Mochrie worked at Second City for three years.

Mochrie’s first appearance on Whose Line is it Anyway, the British version, was in 1991. His role on the American Whose Line got off to a rocky start when ABC wanted to drop Mochrie because they thought the comedian looked too old and not hip enough. Thankfully, those involved in the show held their ground, and ABC was smart enough to see that talent and creativity were more important than ‘hip’, and the fans agreed, making Mochrie a popular mainstay on the American Whose Line stage.

Lately Mochrie has been as busy as ever. He’s spent time touring with the Improv All Stars, and he continues to travel with An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood regularly. He has also been busy appearing in commercials as the Nabisco Snack Fairy. He’s been heavily involved in independent and small movie projects and is even involved in ‘The Movie Co-op’, which is a Canadian venture to help produce great Canadian movies funded by and run by the artists themselves.

Brad Sherwood is a regular cast member on ABC’s Whose Line Is It Anyway? and was a regular on the British version on Comedy Central as well. His credits include The Drew Carey Show, The Green Screen Show, over 100 appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, numerous appearances on VH-1’s I Love The 80’s’ & 90’s, and guest hosting Talk Soup.

Brad’s other past credits include a season on LA Law, To Tell the Truth, The Newz, and hosting The New Dating Game. Brad occasionally performs with Drew Carey and Ryan Stiles as a member of the Improv All-Stars and recently was the guest announcer on The Price is Right.

Both Colin and Brad can currently be seen in primetime on the brand-new improv sketch comedy show, Drew Carey’s Improv-a-Ganza on the Game Show Network.
