Cincinnati Landmark Productions is holding auditions for the Showboat production of GEORGE M! Show includes tunes: “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “Over There,” “You’re A Grand Old Flag,” and “Give My Regards to Broadway.”

Auditions will be held at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.
Adults (17 + years of age): MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition. A headshot/picture is appreciated but not required. Auditionees should prepare excerpt (16-32 bars) that best represents his/her voice and bring sheet music for the accompanist in the proper key. No a cappella or recorded music auditions please. Auditionees will read from the script and will be asked to do a dance audition as well (bring tap and character shoes please).

GEORGE M! tells the life story of George M. Cohan, a giant of the American musical theater! We follow him over a 60-year period from his childhood in Rhode Island on the vaudeville circuit with his parents and sister as “The Four Cohans,” to New York, where he starts his 25-year absolute reign of the Broadway stage. Roles remained to be cast include:
- Ethel Levey (George Cohan’s 1st wife) 20 – 30 age range
- Nellie Cohan (George’s Mother) 30 – 60 age range
- 3 Ensemble Male
- 3 Ensemble Female
Each of the roles above will be featured in the production with song/scenes/dance. All roles are paid positions. The production is open to non-traditional casting.
