At last night’s season eight closer trueBLUE, David Levy announced the titles and a change for trueTHEATRE’s upcoming ninth season.
Performances stay at Memorial Hall, but move to Thursday evenings.

A theme that can take our stories anywhere… from painting to the police, from the deep blue sea to the wild blue yonder, from the color of your loved one’s eyes to the color of your grandma’s hair. There’s no telling what you’re going to get when you come to trueBLUE! …but you can be certain it will be entertaining!

Memorial Hall [Over-the-Rhine]
Six people step up to the plate to share their true, personal stories about life on-and-around the baseball diamond! Jon Warden (who went to the World Series with the winning Detroit Tigers during his first year of pro ball in 1968!) and George Foster (who has two World Series rings from his time with the Cincinnati Reds!) will both be sharing stories as well as from: a man who learned more from baseball than from his parents; a woman whose plans were changes by a foul ball; a man who can claim an enviable moment of glory; and a woman who had never seen a baseball game before she was 19, but then, watch out! This show (our 3rd of our 8th season) is sure to be a HOME RUN!

Whether you have a true, personal, baseball-themed story to pitch for our Spring show or you want to play spectator, we invite you to the Northside Tavern on Wednesday, March 14th, to experience True Theatre’s first-ever LIVE audition night!
We’re ultimately looking for 5 people to tell their stories in 10 – 12 minute form as part of the lineup at our April 30th show, but before that, we need to find them. We’re asking that those interested in pitching a story prepare a 4 – 5 minute mini-version of their story. Those brave enough to take the mic get a drink on us and a ticket to the show (to share with a friend if we end up drafting you!).
We won’t be able to accommodate everyone who wants to pitch on our roster for the evening, so be sure to reserve you spot by giving us a preview through our website at https://www.truetheatre.com/contact-1/.
Doors “open” at 6:30 in the back. At 7, it will be time to play ball!
This isn’t the only way to pitch a story for trueBASEBALL, but it’s the first way and those who wait until after, risk missing their chance.
So come on down for socializing, storytelling, and what are probably going to be some very obvious baseball puns!
