Bourbon specialist John Ford, owner/proprietor of The Littlefield, will host a bourbon tasting before all Thursday performances of RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH. Tastings highlight a flight of three bourbons, perfectly paired with delicious bites from The Littlefield Chef Shoshannah Hafner. First pairing:
Maker’s Mark – classic, wheated
Smoked chicken with parsnip puree, onion jam and bitter greens
Second pairing:
Woodford Reserve Double Oak – Kentucky bourbon staple
Braised pork belly with crimson hash and braising jus reduction
Third pairing:
George Remus Rye Whiskey – New, spicy, local whiskey
Spice cake with brown butter butter cream, bitter sweet ganache and bourbon spiced pears
