Green Your Thumb at a Community Plant Swap at the Arts Center at Dunham

MISC_Arts Center At Dunham logoCINCINNATI, OH – June 1, 2015 — The Arts Center at Dunham will host a community plant swap on Saturday, June 20 from 9 am until 12 noon at the Arts Center at Dunham, 1945 Dunham Way Cincinnati, OH. At this free event, gardeners young and old can share plants that they have divided or thinned excess with other local gardeners and pick up new plants for their gardens.

All kinds of plants—from flowers, vegetables, fruits and trees, are welcome. Swap participants should bring their plants in a container (pot or bags). The plants should be labelled with as much information, such as light and water requirement, height, spread, color, bloom time, and picture of bloom or mature plant. Plants will be grouped by light requirement.

The swap will begin at 9 am for those who have brought plants to swap. For those interested in starting a garden, open shopping will start at 10 am. Volunteers will be on hand to help place plants and answer as many questions as they can. This is a great way to get a garden started for free!

Please contact Chris Yearout (wronkchris@msn.com) if you have questions, would like to volunteer, or have plants to donate to the swap but can’t make it on the 20th.
