Actor Needed to Fill Role in SSP’s HARVEY

SSP_HarveyDue to the stereotypical “unforeseen circumstances,” Sunset finds itself in the position of having to find an actor to play the role of Dr. Sanderson in HARVEY. The show dates are Oct 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, & 19. The Sunday show is at 2PM and the rest at 8PM. Yes, only a few weeks away!
Sanderson is a semi-romantic, medium sized role. He is (preferably) in his 30s to 40s. A sympathetic Psychiatrist with an occasional sarcastic way with Nurse Kelly (with whom he has a mutual attraction they both are clueless about).
He is not on stage the entire show but he has about 150 lines in the show (with no long speeches).
If you are interested, please email me at mwb_45238@yahoo.com and we can schedule my hearing you read and discussing the rehearsal situation.

Directed by Mike Burke

Cast: Ray Smith as Elwood P Dowd, Cathy Woodruff as Veta Simmons, Sharon Cardona as Myrtle Mae, Mike Burke as Dr. Sanderson, Dawn Lindsey Fricke as Nurse Kelly, David Myers as Judge Omar Gaffney, Jamie Ball as Dr. Chumley, Debbie Case as Mrs. Chumley, Lynne Aronson as Mrs. Chauvenet, Joe Luckey as Duane Wilson & Michael Maloof as E. J. Lofgren

After Elwood P. Dowd introduces his imaginary friend, Harvey—a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit—to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, decides to have him committed to a sanitarium. When Veta admits that years of living with the hallucination have caused her to actually see Harvey too the good doctors have her committed! Veta finally clears the confusion, however, and the search is on for Elwood. When he shows up at the sanitarium looking for his lost friend, Harvey, it seems that the mild-mannered Elwood’s delusion has a strange influence on the doctors.
