General Information:

  • Show Dates are November 13,14, 15, 20, 21, 22
  • 12 roles No role has a specific gender; this will be determined at auditions.
  • One role requires a non-American accent
  • Auditions will consist of cold readings both from the script and other sources.
  • Our light rehearsal schedule will begin after Labor Day

It’s the 1860’s and the Western world is closing in on Thailand. Hoping to give his family the necessary knowledge to survive in this New World, the King of Thailand hires for his children a British governess, Anna. At first, Anna and the King struggle to find common ground between Thai and British attitudes. Soon though, the two opposites fall in love. Meanwhile, Tuptim and and Lun Tha have a hidden romance even though Tup Tim belongs to the King. -StageAgent.com

Saturday, May 10 from 1:30-6:00; Monday, May 12 from 6:00-9:00PM
St. Susanna School
500 Reading Road in Mason
Please park behind the building and enter as directed by the signage.

Bring a prepared song – 16 bars from a musical similar to The King and I but not from the show. Accompanist will be provided – please bring sheet music. Auditioners may also bring a cd accompaniment without vocals, or they can sing a capella.

Expect cold readings from the script

Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to dance
