TUNA DOES VEGAS re-unites the lovable and eccentric characters from the “third smallest town in Texas” as they take a rambling romp in Sin City. The hilarity begins when oddball-conservative radio host Arles Struvie announces on air that he and his wife Bertha Bumiller are heading to Vegas to renew their wedding vows…but everyone in Tuna, Texas goes along for the ride!

Mariemont Players presents Tennessee Williams’ THE GLASS MENAGERIE at the Walton Creek Theater, 4101 Walton Creek Road (just East of Mariemont), January 9th through January 25th, 2015.

In Tennessee Williams’ shattering classic, an aging Southern Belle longs for her youth and dreams of a better life for her children. Her restless son Tom — a would-be poet and the story’s narrator — gets swept up in his mother’s funny and heartbreaking schemes to find his painfully shy sister, Laura, a husband. THE GLASS MENAGERIE is considered to be one of the most beautiful dramas in American theatre.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE is directed by Laura Boggs, produced by Tom Storey, and features Barbara Karol as Amanda, Collin Wenzell as Tom, Morgan Carter as Laura, and David Trump as Jim.

Performances will be at 8:00pm on January 9th, January 10th, January 16th, January 17th and January 23rd; at 2:00pm on January 11th and January 25th; at 7:30pm on January 15th and January 22nd; at 2:00pm and 7:00pm on January 18th; and at 3:00pm & 8:00pm on January 24th.

Auditions Announced for MPI’s 12 ANGRY JURORS

Sunday, February 15, from 1-4pm and Monday, February 16, from 7-10pm at Walton Creek Theater

Feb. 16 auditions cancelled due to inclement weather.
New date: Tue, Feb. 17 from 7-10pm

A 19-year old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. “He doesn’t stand a chance,” mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and- shut case – until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. One of the jurors says, “We should not make it a personal thing.” But personal it does become, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted, and a new murder threat is born before their eyes!

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Men and women, ages 21 and up. All roles are open to either gender – no roles have been pre-cast. Looking for lots of different types.

12 Angry Jurors will be staged May 8-24, 2015.
