Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon Kids

Hey young performers! Get ready for an exhilarating summer experience at the Acting Up Drama Camp. It’s your time to shine in “Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon Kids.” This is a fantastic opportunity for incoming 5th – 8th graders who love the stage!

– June 17 to June 21, 2023
– 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EDT

About the Camp:
This isn’t just any camp; it’s a week full of learning, fun, and creativity! You’ll receive top-notch training in vocals, dancing, acting, and even get to direct a part of the show. Dive into creating props and costumes, and play theatre games that enhance your acting and improv skills. The week culminates in a fantastic performance of “Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon Kids” at Lakeview United Church of Christ!

No Auditions Required:
All are welcome to join the ensemble, with auditions open for specific roles until May 26. Remember, every camper is a star in our camp! See link for details on how to audition if interested!

– Packed lunch
– At least 1 water bottle (note: no water fountains available)

Acting Up Presents BROADWAY HITS THE ROAD – A Musical Revue, Feb. 8-10

ACTUP_Broadway Hits the RoadEmbark on a Theatrical Journey with BROADWAY HITS THE ROAD – A Spectacular Musical Revue by Acting Up Young Performers Community Theater.

Acting Up proudly presents its 10th Musical Revue! This year’s extravaganza promises to be a delightful journey through the world of musical theatre, featuring songs from beloved shows centered around the theme of travel.

  • Thursday, Feb 8 at 7:00 pm
  • Friday, Feb. 9 at 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, Feb 10 at 7:00 pm

Location: Lakeview United Church, 8639 Columbia Rd, Maineville, OH

Acting Up, a beacon of resilience, has overcome adversity, including a fire, pandemic, and flood over the past five years. This year’s revue, themed around travel, is a celebration of triumph and resilience, and moving forward, showcasing songs from iconic productions such as “The Wiz” & “Catch Me If You Can” and timeless classics like “Oklahoma” and “42nd Street.”

Based in Mason, Acting Up draws young performers from across the tri-state area, solidifying its reputation as a hub for emerging talent. A proud member of Ohio’s Association of Community Theaters, Acting Up has been recognized with numerous awards for its outstanding musical programs since 2005.

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.
Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Auditions Announced for FINDING NEMO JR! at Acting Up

ACTUP-logoActing Up is excited to announce auditions for our October 2023 production of “Finding Nemo Jr!”

Performances will take place October 6-8 at the Mason High School Theater!

Actors age 6-18 (must still be in high school) are invited to audition!

Auditions will be Monday, June 12 and Tuesday, June 13.
