PP_logoFREE Improvisation and Devising Workshops, May and June 2017!

Interested in advancing or learning new skills in Improvisation and Devising in a FREE workshop?

Come join Polly L. Heinkel, Founder of Pollen Productions, in workshops that will teach you skills of some of the renowned devising process.

Each date will feature a distinct lesson from well-known companies and acting schools from the United Kingdom.

Come to as many or as few as you like! But be aware that space is LIMITED and will go QUICKLY.

The schedule is as follows:

  • May 13th 11am-3pm
  • June 10th 11am-3pm
  • June 17th 11am-3pm

Each session will look at one of three separate devising processes that will enhance your skills as a performer, and possibly open up your knowledge base about what happens in the creation of actor driven work.

At the end of these sessions, we are hoping to create relationships with theatre artists who would like to work with us in the future on our upcoming productions in the Cincinnati area.

The day will be a combination of learning improvisation and devising techniques useful to actor in the creation of new work and throughout the rehearsal process that are specific to each company or activity listed. The workshops will encompass techniques that Polly learned while living in London where she studied under, Matthew Lloyd at East 15 Acting School. Drawing on her work with Polly Teale, of Shared Experience, the work of Frantic Assembly and the concept of Living History, you will learn what goes into the creation of actor driven work.
