JERSEY PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR SUMMER 2014!

CINCINNATI, OHIO…Jersey Productions is proud to announce its SEVENTH summer of Musical Theatre Educational Programming open to all students, ages 8-17, throughout the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area! Since 2008, hundreds of boys and girls have participated in musical theater activities through our two-week CAMP JERSEY program as well as our various other classes in musical theater dance and auditioning technique. Our educational programs offer general and specific musical theater studies depending on the student’s level of interest, background and previous experiences.

As an advocate for theater education and to help cultivate a lifetime of appreciation for the arts, Jersey Productions encourages all kids to participate in performing arts activities this summer. Studies (and our own campers) have shown that participating in performing arts activities help children with their coordination, teamwork, public speaking and vocal skills as well as build self-esteem and meet new friends! The goal of Jersey Productions’ summer activities is to educate not only fantastic performers but also fantastic supporters of the arts, through understanding, for the rest of their lives!

Jersey Productions’ educational programs are held at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Downtown Cincinnati. Registration is open and available through the CAA box office at the Aronoff, by phone at 513-621-ARTS (2787) or online at http://www.cincinnatiarts.org.

CAMP JERSEY (ages 8-15) is an opportunity for young performers to participate and learn the “ins and outs” of the world of musical theatre. With daily voice, dance and acting classes, campers will work side-by-side with professionals and perform in their own showcase at the end of camp. Camp Showcase on the final Friday at noon. 9:30am-1:00pm (some classes split by age)

• Session 1 – June 9 – 20
• Session 2 – June 30 – July 11 (no class July 4)
• Camp Jersey registration and tuition – $185.00 (Discount from $300 thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation-Rental Subsidy Grant at the Aronoff Center)

CAMP JERSEY DANCE (ages 10-17) All Musical Theater dance styles…all afternoon.

• June 9 – 13 1pm-3pm registration and tuition – $125.00

CAMP JERSEY AUDITION (ages 10-17) provides the tools you need to land your next audition! Audition dance, song cuts, monologues & improvisational skills will be emphasized.

• June 16 – 20 1pm-3pm registration and tuition – $125.00

CAMP JERSEY INTENSIVE (ages 8-15) The one-week version of CAMP JERSEY – is an opportunity for young performers to participate and learn the “ins and outs” of the world of musical theatre. With daily voice, dance and acting classes, campers will work side-by-side with professionals and perform the CAMP JERSEY showcase at the end of camp.

• June 16 – 20 12pm-3pm registration and tuition – $125.00

CAMP JERSEY PRODUCTION! (ages 11-17) participants in this two-week camp will rehearse and perform FAME Jr. in the Jarson-Kaplan theater at the Aronoff Center. Lights, sound, costumes…let’s put on a show!

• June 30-July 11 1-4:30pm – $240
  Tuition includes show T-shirt, costume, & 2-pack of tickets to the final show. (Regular price tickets will be $9 – $12 each.) – No camp July 4th
