La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, will hold an Open Call audition for their upcoming production of THE CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES: PLOWIN’ THRU on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, Ohio.
9:00 A.M.
SEEKING:
- The Pastor: Of indeterminate age, a nice man, if perhaps not a terribly dynamic preacher. He lives a life of service and humility.
- Mrs. Elroy Engelson (Karin): 50’s, Karin is the most fashionable and the best cook. She strives to be a good wife and mother.
- Mrs. Glimer Gilmerson (Mavis): 60’s. An able-bodied farm wife, Mavis is always willing to fix a tractor, peel a potato, or scrub the lutefisk pot.
- The Widow Snustad (Vivian): 70’s. The matriarch of the kitchen, Vivian holds tightly to tradition with both hands.
- Beverly (Engleson) Hauge: (30’s) Mother of three, daughter of Karin.
Prepare 16 bars of standard musical theatre song.
May be asked to read from script.
