Requirements
Each audition will be comprised of 3 parts (more important details and explanations in your Audition Packet):

  1. MUSIC: Please prepare 32 bars of a Stephen Sondheim song that is NOT from the show. Please bring your own TRACK – we will have a system set up to play music from your phone, MP3 player or a CD. If you would prefer to bring your own Accompanist you may (a piano is available, but we will not provide an accompanist). We may also have you sing scales with our Music Director to check your range.
  2. SIDE READS: Pre-selected sections of the script (sides) will be sent by email. Please take some time with these – you definitely do not need to memorize them, but each should give you a chance to show us what YOU can bring to the script. We will likely ask you to perform more than one. Brief character descriptions will be included in the Audition Packet for your reference, but should be used as a jumping off point – not where your character begins and ends.
  3. MOVEMENT AUDITION:: Everyone will be asked to learn and perform a short choreographed/Movement number – Please wear clothes and shoes you can move in (bare feet will not be permitted).

Headshots and resumes appreciated but not required.
Note: Performers must be 18+ to audition for this show.
