Local Theater Company Comprised of Young Professional Actors Comes to Your
Backyard for Birthday Parties and Special Events
CINCINNATI, March 28, 2021 – A new performing arts venture brings live (and socially distanced) theater right to your backyard! Launched this month, Backyard Broadway responds to the desire to see and experience live performances in a safe environment.
“We hope to bring a new form of live entertainment to Cincinnati, ” said Benny Mitchell, founder of Backyard Broadway and a junior at Mariemont High School. “We know people miss being able to go to theaters, so we decided to bring the theater to them.” Backyard Broadway operates with a unique concept: young, professional actors will come to your home or other outdoor venue and perform an original play based upon familiar stories such as Snow White or Treasure Island. In addition to the live show, the actors will engage with the audience through interactive lessons and role playing. Backyard Broadway is a creative approach, perfect for birthday parties, graduations, or summertime gatherings—or as a just-because fun afternoon for friends and neighbors.
