La Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, is seeking a scenic carpenter. The scenic carpenter must have knowledge of carpentry and wood-working tools. Experience with construction, power tools, working within a fast-paced environment, simple carpentry finishing, and stage craft.
The scenic carpenter must be a self-motivated conscientious builder who can produce quality scenery while meeting the demands of a short theatre production schedule for seven shows a year.
Other desirable skills, but not necessary for consideration, include electrical wiring, AutoCAD, basic design translation, scenic painting, arc welding, rigging, sculpting, pneumatics, hydraulics and motion control.
This is a full-time, year-round job. Typically 40 hours per week.
