InBocca Performance is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM, an exploration of Edgar Allan Poe’s tragic life, mysterious death, and elegantly macabre works directed by Mandie Reiber.
Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 2nd from 9 AM to noon at NKU, studio TBA. Please arrive 15 minutes early and dress to move.
We are specifically looking for a male lead with strong movement abilities and stage presence who is comfortable with delivering long, difficult text; a female lead with great dance technique who can sing; and an ensemble of versatile actors and movers, singing or tumbling ability a plus.
All auditionees will do a cold reading and a movement exercise. Additionally, dancers should come with a self-choreographed, one-minute dance piece in the style of their choosing. Please bring music on a phone or laptop to dance to. Singers should come with 16-32 bars of a song to sing a cappella.
