Encore has announced its show for July 2016: HAIRSPRAY!
This show will be directed by Ben Schneider.
Rehearsals will begin the last week of May and take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The show will take place at the end of July on stage at Parrish Auditorium on the Miami University Hamilton campus.
Butler County students entering 7th through 12th grades and graduating seniors in the summer of 2016 are welcome to try out.
Auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. April 14 and 10 a.m. April 16 at First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd., Hamilton.
Auditioners should be prepared to sing a song of his or her choice. An accompanist will be available, or auditioners may bring an instrumental CD (no vocals).
Please be prepared to dance. The dance requirement for this show is heavy.
The cast for this musical is large, as it will include character roles and a large ensemble.
Many roles are for actors of color.
