WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOLFF? is an emotional rollercoaster between George, a college history professor and his wife Martha, daughter of the college president, and Nick, a new professor in the biology department and his wife, Honey. Illusion and reality are nebulous and never clear. The morals and mores of the 1950’s, wherein families consisted of husband, wife and two perfect children living in the suburbs, is questioned and exposed. Alcohol is used to self-medicate and the mental stability of all of them is in question.
Needed are 2 men and 2 women.
- MARTHA: 52, but looks somewhat younger. A large boisterous woman, ample, but not fleshy.
- GEORGE: Her husband, age 46. Thin, hair going gray.
- HONEY: 26, a petite blond young woman, rather plain looking.
- NICK: 28, her husband. Blond and well put together, good looking.
