Synopsis: A black comedy about white trash! From the author of Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got the Will?), SORDID LIVES is the story of a colorful family from a small Texas town who must come to grips with the accidental death of the elderly family matriarch during a clandestine meeting in a seedy motel room with her much younger, married neighbor. The woman’s family must deal with their own demons while preparing for what could be an embarrassing funeral.

- BITSY MAE HARLING – the guitar playing ex-con bar singer.
- TY WILLIAMSON – 27, a handsome gay man on a journey.
- SISSY HICKEY – mid 50s, the caretaker who picked the wrong day to quit smoking.
- NOLETA NETHERCOTT – early 40s the angry overweight betrayed housewife.
- LATRELLE WILLIAMSON – early 50s, Ty’s uptight, proper mother.
- LA VONDA DUPREE – late 40s, Latrelle’s liberal-minded, worldly sister.
- G.W. NETERCOTT – late 40s, the distraught legless Vietnam Vet.
- WARDELL “BUBBA” OWENS – late 40s, the former gay-bashing remorseful bartender.
- ODELL OWENS – mid 40s, Wardell’s worthless story-telling brother.
- DR. EVE BOLINGER – late 40s, the over-sexed pill-popping, alcoholic therapist.
- EARL “BROTHER BOY” INGRAM – late 40s, the Tammy Wynette obsessed transvestite.
- REV. BARNES – the Southern Baptist preacher.
Please be prepared to read from the script. If auditioning for the role of Bitsy, please be prepared to play a short song on the guitar and sing a few bars.
Note, ages may shift slightly depending on actors/actresses and group dynamics.
Performance dates are Feb. 5-8.
