New Edgeclilff Theatre present SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS
Directed by Bob Allen
On the 100th Anniversary of The World War I Christmas Truce. World premiere of award-winning play by Phil Paradis. Inspired by the World War I Christmas Truce of 1914,
SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS presents the remarkable story of how front-line enemy soldiers in touch with loved-ones on the home front preserved their humanity, and emerged from trenches to negotiate a truce and celebrate Christmas in No-man’s-land. What has been called by Malcolm Brown “perhaps the best and most heartening Christmas story of modern times.”
