Regional Premiere of  FROM WHITE PLAINS

CINCINNATI, January 28, 2014—Xavier University’s Department of Music & Theatre is proud to announce the regional premiere of Michael Perlman’s FROM WHITE PLAINS. This production is directed by Craig Wesley Divino, Fault Line Theatre Co-Artistic Director. Divino was an original company member of the world premiere production.

After a shocking announcement on international television, 30-year-old Ethan Rice finds himself finally having to confront who he was and what he did as a teenager. From White Plains follows four men, straight and gay, as they attempt to take responsibility for past actions and move beyond them, aided and frustrated by social media and viral videos. The play examines how male relationships change as boys grow into men and asks who speaks for a victim of bullying when he is no longer here to speak for himself.

Just because it gets better doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Performances of From White Plains are scheduled from February 14 – 22, 2014 at the Xavier University Gallagher Student Center Theater. Single ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, Xavier faculty/staff and all students. Tickets are currently on sale and are available through the Xavier University box office website at: www.xaviertheatre.ticketleap.com/whiteplains, or by calling the Xavier box office at 513.745.3939. The box office will open on Monday, February 3 with hours Monday-Friday from 1:00 – 6:00pm.
