Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES as a recommended production.
In this regional premiere, the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson are on the job to investigate the mysterious case of the “hound of hell” that stalks the moors. This fast-paced farcical adaptation of the classic novel is performed by only three actors tackling dozens of roles.
Panelists recommended the production as “a fun night for the whole family” and “a delightful take-off of Sherlock Holmes”, filled with “merry pranks” and “physical comedy”.
HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES continues through August 12th. Tickets can be purchased at www.cincyshakes.com.
Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
