Sarte’s famous existentialist play follows three people to a room in hell, where their torture is revealed to be each other’s company. Three damned souls, Garcin, Inez, and Estelle, are brought to a lavish room to await their punishment. While they expected some sort of torture chamber to punish them in the afterlife, they instead begin to realize where the true torment really lies. Their constant arguing finally has Garcin state the famous line: “Hell is other people”. An exploration of human nature and relationships, No Exit is a play brimming with sardonic wit. You’ll laugh. You’ll ponder life’s meaning. You’ll have a devilishly good time.

THIS IS OUR YOUTH navigates 48 tumultuous, fantastic and life changing hours in the lives of 3 young people in Manhattan in 1983. Warren Straub is a sharp and thoughtful but ultimately disturbed kid living with his wealthy and abusive father following a series of family tragedies and broken relationships. When Warren is thrown out, a knee-jerk reaction leaves him with $15,000 in stolen funds from his father. Attempting to hide himself for long enough to figure out what to do, and after failing to find any friend whose parents will allow him in, he shacks up with Dennis Ziegler, his supremely confidant and domineering drug dealer friend whose parents have afforded him his own apartment. While Dennis and Warren try to find a great way to spend their money , Warren also spends time with Jessica Goldman, a cautious but engaging engaging girl he’s crushed on for months. While Warren and Jessica struggle to define their feelings past their own emotional shields, Dennis begins to battle the idea of his place in the world and a bit of self-doubt, something he’s rarely experienced to this point. THIS IS OUR YOUTH examines in detail the vulnerability of these three as they creep toward adulthood a bit faster than they are ready for.
