In March, 2016, Geo Productions will present Peter Shaffer’s drama EQUUS. Several roles need to be cast.
While three principal roles have already been pre-cast, others are available for reading auditions.
- Dora Strang, the mother — stage age 40s
- Frank Strang, the father — stage age 40-50
- Harry Dalton, the stable owner — stage age 45+
- Young Horseman/Equus — stage age mid-20s to 30s
- Jill Mason — stage 18-20 (partial nudity required)
All parts except Jill will double as horses in the final scene.
This is a non-stipend production which will play in the Studio 301 Black Box Theatre at Miami University-Hamilton for six performances. Rehearsals will be in Fairfield starting January, 2016, with one full-cast read-through in early December, 2015.
