Cast Announced for THE GIRLS OF MILLER COURT at The Drama Workshop

TDW_VERTThe Drama Workshop (TDW) is pleased to announce the cast of THE GIRLS OF MILLER COURT, our winter production. This is an original play written by Jack Williams, directed by jef brown and produced by Valeria Amburgey.

In 1883 London, Jack the Ripper has started his deadly spree. Prostitutes Mary Kelly, Polly Nichols, Liz Stride, Kate Eddowes, and Annie Chapman meet at the local tavern and hatch an audacious plan – to lay a trap for the killer and thereby save their own lives. Will they succeed in their plan to stop the Ripper’s rampage, or become victims themselves? A fresh new take on the Ripper tale, you’ll be sure to enjoy this fascinating tale by local playwright Jack Williams. Some adult situations.

Bound Book Theater Company at Mt Washington UMC is pleased to announce the cast for our debut dinner theater production of A 1940’s RADIO CHRISTMAS CAROL. Presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Directed by Judy Berrens, music directed by Dennis Andrew Betz, and produced by Cheryl Boettger.

Long time talented community theater actors as well as new aspiring talent came out to audition. Equally talented were those who could both act and sing, ensuring a wonderful production for the holiday season.

Show dates are December 8, and 9th with dinner being served at 7:00 PM and show staring at 8:00 PM and December 10 with dinner being served at 2:00 PM and show at 3:00 PM. It’s 1942 and two feuding Hollywood divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel. Everything seems to be in order for their performances at a wartime benefit … that is, until they are somehow booked into the same hotel suite. Close encounters, mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.

Directed by Laura Berkemeier. Production dates are February 16-24.

Cast Announced for Neil Gaiman’s NEVERWHERE

KTC_logoRory Sheridan will make his MainStage debut as Richard, the unassuming London officeworker whose life takes an unexpected tumble into London Below when he meets the mysterious Door, played by Ernaisja Curry.

Nothing is as it seems in this sinister new world, and soon Richard finds himself pursued by the nefarious Croup and Vandemar – played by MadCap Puppets’ own Sean Mette and Dylan Shelton!

Richard and Door soon enlist the help of the enigmatic Marquis de Carabas, who will be brought to vivid life by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Jeremy Dubin*.

Joining the fight is the unpredictable (and very, very dangerous) Hunter, played by Jordan Trovillion, while Brandon Burton returns to the Know MainStage as Islington.

And who will bring the rest of the 30+ named characters of the teeming, sordid world of London Below? The all-star team of Maggie Lou RaderAndrew Ian  Adams, and Chris Wesselman, of course!

SOMETHING’S AFOOT is a murder mystery musical that spoofs detective stories, mainly the works of Agatha Christie, and especially her detective novel And Then There Were None (a.k.a. Ten Little Indians). The play involves a group of people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour. When the wealthy lord is found dead, it’s a race against the clock to find out whodunnit.
