“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band
The Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization. Founded in 1798, the band has performed for every U.S. President since John Adams. Known as “The President’s Own” since the days of Thomas Jefferson, the Marine Band’s primary mission is to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps. In the style of the band’s 17th Director John Philip Sousa, who initiated the concert tour tradition in 1891, Marine Band Director Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin has chosen a diverse mix of programs, from traditional band repertoire and marches to instrumental solos. This concert is part of the 2024 United States Marine Band National Tour from Coast to Coast and is supported by University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

What does it mean to be whole? In a small cell, a woman tries to heal herself and a young girl by hiding from the world. The girl, Hildegard von Bingen, will grow to be an extraordinary composer, writer and activist — but only if she can put herself back together. You have never heard anything like this powerful new musical by singer-songwriter Grace McLean, known for originating the role of Marya in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.

A CELEBRATION OF NOBUKO IMAI
A celebration of renowned Japanese violist Nobuko Imai’s career and the incredible gifts of knowledge she continues to share with the viola community. This one-day event consists of performances presented by Nobuko Imai and guest artists, along with master classes, discussions, instrument expositions and a festive closing reception. Registered guests are invited to enjoy an all-day viola experience, all taking place at the CCM Village on the UC campus! The schedule includes:

If you’re falling in love with the new girl gardener, make sure she’s not your estranged wife first. A musical chairs approach to romance, La Finta Giardiniera features feuding lovers, silly disguises and temporary insanity. CCM sets the story on the backlot of a sound stage for a reality TV show. Enjoy the hijinks both on and off stage as the reality show’s cast and crew try to complete the making of La Finta Giardiniera. Sung in Italian with English subtitles.

Parking is available in UC’s CCM Garage (located at the base of Corry Boulevard off
Jefferson Avenue) and additional garages throughout the UC campus. Effective July 1, 2023, all University of Cincinnati Parking Services locations are cashless. Pay for parking securely with your credit/debit card. All major credit cards accepted.
CCM OnStage patrons can add pre-paid parking to their checkout carts when purchasing tickets. Pre-paid parking is date/performance specific. CCM Garage parking rates for a performance or special event is usually available for $10-15. Learn more about parking at UC’s CCM Garage.
