Inspector Pratt’s record of crime detection at Bagshot House isn’t enviable. On his two previous visits, the body count mounted, as he looked on, hopeless and helpless. Now, he’s back – and, as usual, chaos reigns supreme. Pratt meets Nancy Allwright, the new owner of the house, and is soon embroiled in yet more mystery and mayhem, aided and abetted by Miss Maple and Constable Thompkins.
The cast will consist of four actors and four actresses, 20s and older:
- Inspector Pratt – middle-aged, clumsy, inept. British.
- Constable Thompkins – shy, but capable. British.
- Enzo Garibaldi – Italian, with an eye for the ladies.
- Squadron Leader Roger (Stiffy) Allwright – devil-may-care RAF Officer.
- Nancy Allwright – bright, open and friendly. British.
- Ginny Fahrquar – Annoyingly posh, with an annoying laugh. British (of course).
- Miss Joan Maple – ‘mature’ local tweedy crime-solver. British.
- Blodwyn Morgan – middle-aged. Overwhelming. Welsh.
Death by Fatal Murder will be staged May 3-11, 2024 at the Anderson Center.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
