Sign up for auditions for Cincinnati Music Theatre’s next cabaret production, Nothing Like A Dame: A Cabaret Celebration of Broadway‘s Legendary Leading Ladies presented in partnership with The Cincinnati Arts Association in the intimate Fifth Third Bank Theatre at the Aronoff Center.
AUDITION DATES: Sunday, May 6 and Monday, May 7, beginning at 7:00 pm.
CASTING REQUIREMENTS: Looking for six to eight females with strong musical theatre background. Because of the cabaret setting, those auditioning need to be eighteen years and older.
LOCATION: The Green Room at Aronoff Center, 650 Walnut Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202-2517. Please enter through the Westin Gallery entrance on Seventh Street and take the elevator to the third floor.
AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT: Please reserve your audition time on SignUpGenius. Please print and fill out the Nothing-Like-a-Dame-Audition-Form prior to your audition. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen in the next available slot.
PLEASE PREPARE & PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING FOR YOUR AUDITION:
- 16-32 bars of a Broadway-style song that showcases your vocal range
- Sheet music in the proper key with cuts marked. An accompanist will be provided (no CD’s, tapes or a cappella numbers).
- A copy of your resume and headshot.
- There will not be a dance audition.
Rehearsals will begin May 20, 2018. Because of the condensed rehearsal schedule, no conflicts will be permitted. Performances dates are June 8, 9, 15 & 16.
Nothing Like A Dame; A Cabaret Celebration of Broadway’s Legendary Leading Ladies is conceived and directed by Skip Fenker with musical direction and arrangements by Michael Spresser. It is being produced by Marypat Carletti and Sarah Mizelle.
