My name is Maggie Rader and I’m the Education Director at the Know Theatre. I wanted to send you information about a class we’ll be offering this spring called, Comedic Writing for the Stage. Here’s all the info and how to sign up:

Course Description:
This class will cover how to develop written material from improvised scenes. Students will learn basic scene format, editing improvised scenes into a script, and classic comedic tropes to help structure a scene. If you’ve ever laughed, made other people laugh, or wished to do either, then this class is for you. No experience in improv or comedy are required. All that is required is a willingness to learn and have fun while doing it. This class is for students ages 16-99.
Dates/times:
All classes will take place from 6:30pm-9:00pm

- April 3, (Holding April 17th as an inclement weather make-up day)
Cost: $175. Payment must be made by the beginning of first class. Payment can be made by check or credit card to the Education Director, Maggie Rader.

Instructor: Dave F’n Powell is currently a Co-Director of OTRimprov, the house team for Know Theatre, theatre professor at Xavier University, and a producer for the Improv Festival of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory, Writing, and Graduate program in Detroit. He already knows you can be funny.
