Inspiring Arts Productions is extending their auditions for three lead characters as well as several other supporting roles in their production of HORIZONS OF GOLD, an exciting new musical drama, written by local composers.
Performances: Parrish Theater in Hamilton from 8/12-8/14.
Rehearsals: two week nights and Saturday mornings; held the in Mason area
Casting: open to 15-25 year olds; music reading skills, theater and dance experience are preferred.
HORIZONS OF GOLD: Rose is a young Mexican migrant, abandoned and lost in turbulent 1930’s California. She finds Margaret Thomas, a displaced Kansas Dust-Bowl farmwife grieving the family she lost. Two women, both in need of home and healing of heart, cling to each other through unrelenting hardships. Could John Bollen, the generous wheat farmer down the road, be a savior for them both? A powerful journey of the heart unfolds for three people who find their lives intertwined; each desperate to heal the past and embrace a new future.

- Margaret (LEAD): loyal, loving farm wife; nearly broken by circumstances, but finds the inner strength to go on. Mezzo Soprano; strong acting skill essential.
- Rose (LEAD): Mexican immigrant (early 20’s); Rose is deeply wounded by past circumstances. A lost soul looking belonging, she is a fighter, loyal, and sacrificial. A soprano with a belt
- Bo (LEAD): Prosperous Kansas farmer (mid-30s); Bo is thoughtful, generous and wise. He has experienced tragedy, but hasn’t become bitter. A high baritone.
