A strong, bitter comedy about women scorned in Minnesota and the really, really nice gangsters—Norwegian hit men—they hire to whack their ex-boyfriends. GoodPeople Theatre Company
Nov. 4-7
First Lutheran Church [Over-the-Rhine]

Written and directed by Mollie Jeanette Amburgey

Cast: Leslie Kelly, Nathan Henegar, Carrington Rowe & Shawn Toadvine

THE NEIGHBORLY VISIT
Robin has just moved into her apartment while her husband is recovering from an injury in the hospital. Her neighbor, Nick Ryan, appears at her door with a flamboyant personality, as well as a pie. With no invitation necessary, he invites himself in. At first, Robin finds him incredibly frustrating, but as the act continues, his visit seems to be something Robin might have needed at this point of her life.

OLD WOUNDS
Samantha Bamonti is an up and coming column writer, who reunites over chinese food and some wine with Matthew Holden. Although their meeting seems light and friendly in the beginning, it eventually leads into a discussion of a dark event that happened in their pasts, which they have been trying to move forward from for a very long time.

Ages 13 and up.

THE SIGN IN SIDNEY BRUSTEIN’S WINDOW on Oct. 12

QCQTC_The Sign in Sidney Brusteins Window logoTHE SIGN IN SIDNEY BRUSTEIN’S WINDOW
Presented by Queen City Queen Theatre Collective
Oct. 12
Below Zero Lounge [Over-the-Rhine]

Directed by Torie Wiggins

Cast: Jared Earland, Erin Carr, Mike Hall, Spenser Smith, Sara Kenny, Darnell Pierre Benjamin & Annie Kalahurka

This is the probing, hilarious and provocative story of Sidney, a disenchanted Greenwich Village intellectual, his wife Iris, an aspiring actress, and their colorful circle of friends and relations. Set against the shenanigans of a stormy political campaign, the play follows its characters in their unorthodox quests for meaningful lives in an age of corruption, alienation and cynicism. With compassion, humor and poignancy, the author examines questions concerning the fragility of love, morality and ethics, interracial relationships, drugs, rebellion, conformity and especially withdrawal from or commitment to the world.
