F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! It’s the only way to spell this musical comedy. Winner of the TONY and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee features a fast-paced wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn. This bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. It’s riotous ride complete with audience participation, This production will run for six performances, opening on Friday, July 31.

The ensemble includes Lauren Sprague, Kayla Burress, Emma Fox, Corey Watzek, Jacob Spicer, Joey Nicoletti, Brandon Besl, Jenni Stadtmiller and Patrick Brems.

Performance Dates: Friday, July 31 at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1 at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2 at 3:00 p.m. (matinee) Thursday, August 6 at 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 7 at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8 at 8:00 p.m.
