Mariemont Players present BUS STOP, a comedy by William Inge, at the Walton Creek Theater, 4101 Walton Creek Road (just East of Mariemont), July 10th through July 26th, 2015.
In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked and the weary travelers will have to hole up until morning. Cherie, a nightclub chanteuse in a sparkling gown and a seedy fur-trimmed jacket, is the passenger with the most to worry about. A belligerent cowhand is right behind her, ready to sling her over his shoulder and carry her, alive and kicking, all the way to Montana.
BUS STOP is directed by Tom Peters, produced by Zach Riggins, and features Leah Baker as Cherie, Molly Barresi as Elma, Joshua Broughton as Bo, Vernon Burns as Will, Dan Maloney as Carl, Brieanne Sheehan as Grace, Arny Stolleras Virgil and Kenny Tessel as Dr. Gerald Lyman.
Performances will be at 8:00pm on July 10th, July 11th, July 17th, July 18th and July 24th; at 2:00pm on July 12th and July 26th; at 7:30pm on July 16th and July 23rd; at 2:00pm and 7:00pm on July 19th; and at 3:00pm & 8:00pm on July 25th.
